Ventnor 4

The bandstand building actually houses a water treatment plant and was completed a couple of years ago now.  The harbour construction is now finished.  These replace the Pier that once stood out from Ventnor's Esplanade.

This is the road that drops down to the Esplanade and is very steep and twisted, in the foreground is the edge of the Wintergardens and waterfall {not in the picture} which can be walked past via a steep footpath that curves outward and finishes at the bottom of the road which is much better than trying to walk down the road way, see next picture.

Taken in 2004 from The Bandstand looking back toward The Wintergardens {large white building on the right}.  The tall building on the far left is now called The Harbour View Hotel - its previous name for many years was of course The Pier Hotel.

The picture above is looking East along Ventnor's seafront.
