Shanklin Esplanade 3

As well as a long beach Shanklin also has a long Esplanade with amusements, Cafe's and Hotels and a couple of pubs along the way. These are concentrated in the middle part.

The Steamer Inn
is close to the middle car park and Lift area, and is about half way along The Esplanade. It is recommended for food and to have a drink in or out enjoying its fine views or its fishing and boat memorabilia inside.
This was taken in 2000 when The Steamer Inn had only recently opened.

It is owned by The Spyglass/Mill Bay proprieters.

Shanklin Free House Hotel

This Hotel is next door to The Steamer Inn and has become a Free House recently. This also serves food and has an outside decking area.

Shanklin Beach is featured and recommended in the beach guide.
