Ventnor Esplanade and Pier in the 1960's.
Ventnor Esplanade taken around a decade later, look how much closer the paddling pool was to the bridge above the cascading waterfall, and the adjacent boating lake which in recent times has now become a car park. This car park area is now
subject to being sold off by the local Council and a proposal is being
considered for a Marine Industry on this land, for further details see
Ventnor Eastern Esplanade page.
Scratchells Bay hidden by one of The Needles and its very high cliffs, unless you are on a boat or airborne that is.
Alum Bay cliffs as seen from a pleasure boat trip.
A rare picture of the inside of
one of the hovercrafts. All three of the above images kindly supplied by Suzanne May.
