This is The Great Green Bush Cricket and is very loud in their early evening song, around two or three times as loud as the small crickets we normally see and are much larger in size. 

The size of them was around 2" not including its antennae!  This was pictured outside our holiday residence near to Wheelers Bay on the outskirts of Ventnor.  This is the first year we have seen these.
