www.landguardholidays.co.uk/    Landguard Holiday Park is situated on the outskirts of Shanklin and was a family run expanding business and is now part of Park Resorts for 2008.  Many facilities and reasonable prices made this our choice for a few years over the larger more commercialised sites available on the Island.  Also adjacent and sharing its utilities is Landguard Camping Site. We have stayed here a few times prior to Park Resorts ownership.

www.stmaur.co.uk/   St.Maur Hotel, Ventnor.  A small hotel with real character and good hospitality and good food thrown in as well.  Built in 1876 as a Victorian villa it has been run by the Groocock family since 1966 and more recently is popular with short break offers including car ferry transportation.  It can get extremely hot here taking advantage of Ventnor's sub tropical climate and is not far away from Ventnor's Botanical Gardens. We have stayed here a few times.

http://www.ventnorholidaycottage.co.uk  Maple cottage is an idyllic holiday home in Ventnor with lovely sea views. The property has pretty gardens front and back and makes an ideal holiday location for up to 5 people (4 adults comfortably).

   Isleofwight.com has lots of accommodation providers listed and advertised on its site together with holiday offers and information as well as attractions for the visitor.  The main towns/villages are also featured with pictures and a quick tour explaining their attributes.  Accommodation is searchable by type wanted, including camping and farm holidays. This site is rapidly growing in its size and features -  comes highly recommended.

http://www.wight-self-catering.co.uk/  Brambles Chine is a fully furnished self catering holiday bungalow near the sea at Colwell Bay near Freshwater. It can sleep up to 6 people, nearby there are towns and villages as well as Alum Bay and The Needles Lighthouse.

www.hfromh.co.uk/    Home from Home Holidays on the Isle of Wight.  Self Catering accommodation available for your holiday from this independent holiday home letting agency.  This agency is highly recommended and we have used them several times for our holidays on the Island.  The site is excellent and so are the majority of the properties.  Simply select a location from the map and then browse, full details and prices available, also brochure request.  {Ensure you use the exact url/address above, there are other companies that are called this throughout the U.K.}

www.netguides.co.uk/wight/    Another site geared for the visitor including accommodation, beach guide, travel information, history, and in particular the Island towns and villages basic information.

www.upperchinecottages.co.uk/  Self catering luxury holiday cottages and apartments tastefully situated in nearly 3 acres, with Shanklin Chine running alongside. Perfectly situated in Shanklin Old Village with an easy and pleasant walk to Rhylstone Gardens or Shanklin Beach. We have stayed here a few times recently.
