The Derwent museum entrance

A crisp Febuary morning at the end of a circular walk from The Visitors centre provides this elevated view of the Derwent dam looking at the West Tower and gatehouse which happens to have its door open to the Derwent Museum.

The smell of pine and fresh misty air was great! The circular walk we completed was the black one {1 - 1.5 hours duration} and was a steep walk in places, see things to do.

Notice the small amount of spaces for parking here at the West gatehouse. Fairholmes V.C. is just 350m away to the right of the picture.
