BLACKGANG CHINE FANTASY PARK, NITON.
Due to Landslip
Blackgang Chine loses on average 3 meters of land every year. Some years
escape with very little and some years a large section will fall away.
Don't worry - the organisers usually have prior warning of such falls and models
and paths are moved back as a result and some areas are totally relocated.

Buffalo Canyon
There is much needed refreshments {Hot and Cold} at the end of Buffalo Canyon - only a small part shown above. There are a couple of small shops that sell sweets, icecreams and lots of varieties of cap guns to amuse the boys and annoy the adults! |

Blackgang Beach, South
Just a small peek of the beach on the South side. The paths and steps down to the beach have long gone and easy access is no longer possible. However I saw two people walking along it after this picture was taken so it is possible - somehow. |

There is much more than this at Blackgang Chine not pictured above: St.
Catherine's Quay, Blackgang Sawmill including Blacksmith's display,
Shipwreck Collection, RNLI Lifeboat and display, Paddle Steamer Engine Room, Snakes & Ladders,
Funny Mirrors, 100m Waterforce, 'The Story of Blackgang
Chine' including press cuttings and photographs of Landslips at Blackgang.
Not forgetting the original attraction an 87' whale skeleton, see next page.
